Meal Planning – September 24th

Meal Planning – September 24th

Ok, last week got away from me. I promise I have more posts for you; cheap diy birthday decor, quick ways to ice sugar cookies, what I learned about veggie gardens, and why I think a Costco membership is worth it. And I am waiting for my Foodie Pen Pals package to arrive, so there will be a post about that once it gets here! But this week is going to be busy, as the big 1st Birthday party is this weekend. But right now, all I have time for is a quick snack of raw garlic on toast (I better not be getting sick!) and our little meal plan for this week.

Since temperatures have dropped (it was only 4 degrees this morning when we went to get groceries!) I have a week of hearty comfort food:

Monday – meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots

Tuesday – grilled pork chops with zucchini risotto and broccoli

Wednesday – beefy mac & cheese with tomato salad

Thursday – breaded pork chops with mashed potatoes and green beans

Friday – broccoli quiche and corn fried rice

All those links lead to the Food Network site, but I found the recipes in my Food Network Magazine.

As always, I am linking up with Org Junkie, so stop by and check out some great meal plans!

    1. We eat TONS of broccoli, at least once a week, sometimes twice! My son eats it like it's candy, so that the main reason I buy so much of it, but it's cheap and so good for you, you might as well eat it all the time!
  1. Happy Birthday wishes to your little one. I'm always interested in some new recipes to add to my Recipe File Box. That's why I love MPM! Looks like there's going to be lots of yummy meals eaten this week.
  2. Your foodie pen pal package came today, right? Yay! And a CostCo membership is always, always worth it. Only 3 of us in our family now that my stepson is in school, but we save a ton of money alone just with juice boxes, fruit snacks etc, before we even get into the other stuff. You just have to be careful about the impulse buys, and you'll be fine.
