My Foodie Pen Pals package finally arrived yesterday, so instead of a Tip Tuesday post, you are getting my reveal post!
Waiting for this is such a hard task! Each day I check the mail in hope something will be waiting for me, but finding bills and flyers for the longest time is so discouraging. But, oh the excitement when it is sitting there in the mailbox!
This month I was paired up with Jenn from Edmonton and Lauren from Calgary. I sent a package to Jenn, and received one from Lauren. Here is what was sent to me:
What a great variety of items this month! I dove right into the PC brown rice thins, I snipped the bag open by mistake when tearing into my package! I love trying new PC products, and these did not disappoint! The Glutino Bretzels Twists are different. I’ve wondered about this brand, as I often see it in the store, but I have never bought any of the products. These are good, they don’t really taste like pretzels, which tricks your mind because they look just like them, but they are still a nice light salty snack. Tea is always nice, I have a cupboard full of it, and drink it several times a day 🙂 and skittles are a nice yummy treat, though I fear my husband will eat these all before I enjoy too many of them! The Herbamare original has me quite intrigued. I am currently obsessed with sea salt, I put it on just about everything, so having a flavoured sea salt sounds amazing! I bet it will be good on lots of different pasta dishes, I can’t wait to try it.
Lindsay over at The Lean Green Bean runs this amazing program, and to make it even more amazing, she has cancelled it for the month of December and is asking people (past, present, and future pen pals) to donate the money they would have spent on a package. The donated money will go to New York Cares, to help with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Lindsay has family in NYC, and has heard plenty of stories directly from families who have been impacted by this storm. Please consider giving.
