My Proactiv+ Journey – Day 10

My Proactiv+ Journey – Day 10

Ok, it’s been a little over a week since I started using Proactiv+, so I thought I would share a breakdown as to what I think so far, and my current results:

My skin is much less greasy, and I no longer feel oily by the end of the day.

My face feels smoother all over.

My skin looks much more even and my pores are much smaller

I’ve had way less breakouts. Those first few days I had no new ones (and before I would have 2 or 3 new ones popping up each day!), just these last 2 days I have had 3 new pimples pop up, but they were instantly minimized with the use of the products, and are nearly gone. Before they would stick around for what seemed like forever.

My under eye circles have never looked better. That under eye cream they have added to the system is amazing! The dark colouring under my eyes has lightened up so much! I had been using some very expensive eye creams, and this one works much better!

The routine is time consuming, well, it really isn’t, but it’s more work than I had been doing so it seems like it takes longer. It takes me about 8-10 minutes to do the 3 steps, a couple extra minutes If I do the extra once a week step or the under eye cream. That’s a lot of time for me when I’m rushing to get the kids out the door in the morning, or when I’m tired at night. But perhaps that was my problem before, I was being too quick and not thorough at all…And I figure I will eventually save time, if my skin is blemish free and I don’t put any makeup on in the morning.

The products are harsh. My skin is a little sensitive, so I have had to cut back the exfoliation step to just once a day, instead of both morning and night I just do it at the end of the day. And I am only going to use the brush maybe once a week, since that is even stronger than the scrub. I also found that the scrub isn’t needed on all parts of my face, and that it was drying out my cheeks a little, so I’ve been using my makeup wipes to remove my makeup at the end of the day, using the scrub on my chin and forehead and nose, and then when rinsing it off, I will splash it all over the rest of my face, but not scrub all the skin. It was too drying on those non acne prone spots.

My skin is so soft that I can’t stop touching it. This is a “con” because the dirt and oil from your fingers can clog your pores, and I don’t want to add to the problem, but, it’s just so soft and smooth!

Here are my current pictures, as of last night, makeup free after having washed my face. There are still lots of scars and fading pimples, but they there are only maybe 3 actual pimples, and they are also fading fast. As of this morning, those few pimples in the pictures are nearly gone! And those red spots and scars will fad over time, or are easily covered with just a light BB cream.

Thanks for checking out my update! If you want to read the first part of my journey, you can do that here.
